Checkout runs on Shopify with cards, PayPal, Venmo, Klarna and Afterpay^2,12, and Trustpilot shows a TrustScore of 4.5 out of 5¹³. The site is owned and operated by En Route Jewelry LLC⁹, and its contact page gives the company’s address as 315 W 39th St, New York, NY 10018⁸; the FAQ says en route is based in the U.S.². The enroutejewelry.com domain dates from April 2017¹⁰. We found no owners, founders or managers named on its pages^{2,7,8,9,12,14}. Its terms of service, which name the LLC, also refer to the ‘prevailing law of Netherlands’⁹.

The brand sells online; we found no store address or opening hours on the site^2,5,7,8,14. It has run pop-up shops: Google shows its blog announcing a Los Angeles pop-up at 1306 Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice²³, and an Instagram post of November 28, 2024 saying a pop-up store had closed²⁴. Its Instagram account shows 967K followers²⁵.

How to reach En Route Jewelry

For orders, the contact page gives one email address, [email protected]⁸, and a contact form, with replies within 24 hours, Monday to Friday⁸. We found no phone number or live chat on the site or in its page code^2,5,7,8. You can cancel or change an order by email until it ships².

Returns & exchanges

You have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange a piece, no reason required⁵; you submit the request through its return portal², and in the US a prepaid label is emailed within 24 hours of approval². Exchanges and store-credit returns ship back free; a refund to your original payment method has a $6.89 return shipping fee deducted^2,5, and the original shipping fee isn’t refunded⁵. You choose between a refund to the original payment method and a gift card², and we found no restocking fee^2,5,6.

Pieces must come back in their original condition and packaging; items returned damaged or excessively worn may be rejected⁵. Customized pieces can’t be returned or exchanged², and jewelry sets can only be returned whole². Defective items can be returned or exchanged within 100 days of delivery². The pages differ on how long a refund takes: one FAQ answer says US refunds start once the return label shows movement and typically take 3–5 business days², another allows about 10–15 business days to process a return after it reaches the warehouse², and the shipping page refunds within 3–5 business days of receiving and inspecting it⁵.

If you file a chargeback, the FAQ says that order gets no further refunds, replacements or warranty service². Price adjustments are offered on orders received within 10 days².

Shipping & delivery

Orders ship from the United States². US shipping is by USPS at $6.89, free on orders over $40, with delivery estimated at 3–5 business days after dispatch; express shipping by USPS Priority Mail costs $15 more and takes 2–3 business days⁵. En Route ships worldwide and says it covers duties and taxes on non-US orders^2,5.

We found no mention of shipping insurance or a signature^1,2,5,6,7. The FAQ says en route ‘is not liable for lost or stolen packages’: if a parcel goes missing it will contact the carrier, but it isn’t responsible once delivery to the correct address is confirmed^2,5.

Warranty & care

Within 100 days of delivery, En Route replaces an item with a manufacturing defect at no cost: one replacement per item, and the 100 days don’t restart with the replacement². The shipping page adds that items arriving damaged are covered and that breakage and tarnishing count as defects⁵. Misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and modifications aren’t covered². To claim, you email your order number and a photo of the issue².

We found no repair, re-plating, cleaning or resizing service^2,4,5,7. Its care advice is to clean pieces with a soft cloth and keep them away from moisture and chemicals²; the rings we checked come in set sizes 6, 7 and 8¹.

What En Route sells & what it costs

En Route’s product feed holds earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets and jewelry sets, plus belly rings, hair accessories, tote bags and gift cards³. Prices run from $4 for a necklace extension chain to $181.90 for The Splendor Set of four necklaces^3,17,21.

Product pages list the materials plainly — ’18k gold plated brass, cz stone’, ‘Rhodium plated brass, cz stone’, ’18k gold plated brass, faux pearl’, ’18k gold plated brass, cz stone, glass pearl’^1,11,16,17 — though the extension chain says only ‘Plated brass’²¹. The jewelry care page describes plating in ‘genuine precious metals’ over brass, stainless steel or sterling silver⁴, and the FAQ says its gold plating is three times as thick as the industry standard², without giving a thickness^{1,2,4,11,15,16,17,18,19,20,21}. It calls all its pieces hypoallergenic, ‘lead and nickel free’².

Natural stones are named too: carnelian, peridot and mother of pearl on the pages we checked^18,19,20. Its birthstone pieces are different: their variants are named after gems — ‘May – emerald’, ‘July – ruby’, ‘September – sapphire’ — and the May ring’s material is listed as ‘may-emerald’³, while the store’s own material notes, in the page code, describe these stones as ‘Emerald-colored cubic zirconia’, ‘Ruby-colored cubic zirconia’ and ‘Synthetic opal’¹⁵. We found no diamonds in the feed³.

It also sells belly rings in rhodium- or platinum-plated brass with cubic zirconia, plus flat-back helix earrings and a nose ring³. For body piercing jewelry we look for implant-grade metal; we found no implant grade, ASTM standard or mill certificate named^2,3,4. The home page shows an ‘Ethically Made’ badge⁷, but we found no sourcing policy behind it^2,4,7,14.

Payment

The store runs on Shopify¹². It accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express, PayPal and Venmo², and US customers can split a purchase into 4 interest-free payments with Klarna (on orders over $35) or Afterpay².

What customers say

On Trustpilot, En Route Jewelry has a TrustScore of 4.5 out of 5¹³; one of its review pages in Google’s results counts 4,591 reviews²⁶. Trustpilot’s page, as Google shows it, says customers frequently mention unique designs, quality and affordable prices²², while some reviewers say items tarnish or lose their gold plating quickly²². We found no BBB profile and are still checking by hand.

On Reddit, one user looking into the brand found the reviews ‘super mixed’²⁷. One r/jewelry commenter would ‘only buy on sale’, after a keychain broke within two days and a ring tarnished within a week²⁸; another found that the necklaces were gold-plated brass²⁹; a third says their jewelry has held up better than they expected, with no major tarnishing yet³⁰.

Google lists ‘en route jewelry’ as a jewelry store at 69 Mercer St in New York, rated 4.2 from 5 reviews³¹ — an address we didn’t find on the site^2,5,7,8,14. Because the site names no store, we scored the Google points on Trustpilot instead, as we do for online-only stores.
