Is Allurez legit? Our verdict
An online jeweler founded in 2010, with a New York factory, free insured US shipping, a one-year defect warranty and Affirm or Klarna financing — but you pay for and insure your own return, its terms reserve a restocking fee the return policy doesn't mention, resizing and lost stones aren't covered, and no company is named behind the brand.

Eligible purchases get a free one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects6. It scores in the ‘caution’ range mostly on returns and aftercare. You have 30 days from shipment to get an unused piece back to its office4, but you pay for an insured return and the original shipping isn’t refunded4, and its terms reserve the right to charge a restocking fee that the return policy doesn’t mention3,4,5,8. Design Your Own pieces can only be exchanged4, the warranty excludes resizing and lost stones6, and none of the pages we read names a company behind the brand1,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11. The same rules apply to every store. How the Trust Score works
Who is behind Allurez
Allurez says it was founded in 2010 by Raphi, who was frustrated by the lack of quality and inflated prices of overseas-made jewelry in stores; the site gives no surname7. Its jewelers work in its New York factory7, and its terms of use list Allurez at 36 W 47th St., New York, NY 100365. The same terms describe the store only as ‘Allurez.com or Allurez, its parent company or its affiliates’5, and none of the pages we read names a company behind the brand1,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11.
Allurez says it has no brick-and-mortar store and is predominantly an online company, with a Manhattan showroom you can visit by appointment3; its Google listing gives a different address, 48 W 48th St13. The terms also say some products are supplied by independent affiliates, suppliers and third-party product providers, who in some cases drop-ship them directly to customers5. The allurez.com domain was registered in February 201020.
Disputes go to binding arbitration, can’t be brought as a class action and must be raised within a year of purchase5, and the terms say you agree to pay its attorneys’ legal fees in a claim5.

Returns & exchanges
Unused items in their original condition — no scratches or signs of wear, never resized or altered — can be returned within 30 days of the original shipment date, and the return has to arrive at Allurez’s office within those 30 days4. You need a return authorization (RMA) number first4. You pay for return shipping and have to insure and track the parcel; uninsured returns are refused, and Allurez isn’t responsible for loss in transit4. The original shipping cost isn’t refunded, even when your order shipped free4,8.
Once a return is approved, the refund goes back to your original payment method within 7 business days, or by company check if you paid by wire4. A missing diamond certificate costs $300, and a free gift you don’t send back is deducted at its retail value4. Engraved, custom-made and clearance items, contoured wedding bands, appraisals, gift cards and layaway deposits can’t be refunded, and Design Your Own engagement rings, pendants and earrings can only be exchanged for something of the same or higher value4. The separate refund policy adds that loose diamonds over 4 carats and Cuban link bracelets and necklaces are exchange-only8.
Allurez’s terms of use go further than its return policy: they reserve ‘the right to collect a restocking fee on returns or exchanges’5, which neither return policy page mentions3,4,8, and they call Design Your Own items ‘non-returnable’5, while the return policy allows an exchange4. We score the stricter terms. Before ordering a custom ring, ask Allurez in writing what you would get back.

Shipping & delivery
Every order within the US ships free and insured, by UPS, USPS or FedEx1,3: Priority Mail on orders of $100 or less, UPS 2nd Day from $100 to $3,000 and UPS Overnight over $3,0001. The shipping policy says most orders need a signature on delivery, and the FAQ says all packages do1,3. Most items ship within 1–3 business days; custom-made and resized pieces take about 5–14 days1. An overnight upgrade on an order under $1,000 costs $20 on one shipping page and $55 on the other1,22.
We found nothing on what happens if a parcel is lost or stolen on the way to you1,3,5,22. The terms still carry a COVID-19 notice saying orders will be delayed and that by ordering you agree to wait5.

Warranty & aftercare
Allurez gives a free one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects; if a defect is confirmed within a year of purchase, it’s repaired without a repair charge6, but you pay the shipping6. After the first year, inspections and repairs may be offered for a fee6, and product pages sell longer cover: on the bracelet we read, two years cost $69, ten years $99 and lifetime $19916.
The warranty doesn’t cover normal wear such as scratches, dents, stretched chains, misshapen bands or cracked stones, nor resizing or lost or stolen pieces6. Missing stones are replaced, but you pay for the new stone6, and repairs by anyone else void the warranty6. Resizing is decided case by case and may be charged, and full-eternity bands generally can’t be resized6. The warranty page says Allurez will gladly polish, rhodium-plate and clean your jewelry6.
Product pages say the free one-year warranty ‘covers free ring sizing, replacement of missing stones*, prong tightening, polishing, rhodium plating, and more’16. The warranty page itself says resizes aren’t covered and that the new stone is at your cost6. We score the warranty page; ask for a written quote before sending a ring in.

What Allurez sells & what it costs
Allurez sells natural and laboratory-grown diamonds and gemstones, and says its jewelry is designed and crafted in the United States23. In the part of its product feed we read, prices run from $133.11 for sterling silver dolphin studs to $16,000 for a loose natural ruby17. Product pages show a higher ‘Everyone Else’ price and a ‘Savings’ percentage next to the Allurez price24; its terms say the ‘Retail Price’ it displays is the manufacturer’s or supplier’s suggested price, the full retail price on the product, or an estimate based on comparable items from competitors5.
Loose diamonds ship with a grading report from a laboratory5, and loose diamonds and Design Your Own jewelry come ‘with diamond certificates, or an expert appraisal’3. Allurez doesn’t commit to one lab: its FAQ names GIA, EGL and AGS as the most common3, its terms say it also sells diamonds certified by other laboratories5, and the one solitaire we read has an ‘HPHT GIA-certified’ 0.53-carat diamond24. For pieces with many diamonds, colour and clarity are given as a minimum, an average or an estimate5. An appraisal by ‘an expert gemologist’ costs $99 extra and isn’t refundable16.
Listings say what each stone is: lab-grown diamonds, lab-created sapphires, lab opal, moissanite and natural zircon with natural diamonds all appear in names and details16,17,18, and the FAQ says lab stones are clearly indicated in the listing3. Allurez says it doesn’t sell treated or enhanced diamonds unless that’s clearly disclosed or a client asks for one3; the loose natural ruby we read doesn’t say whether it was treated25. Gold is described by karat, such as 14k yellow gold, without the alloy16,18,24,26,27,28, and the white gold of the earrings we read is rhodium-plated18.
Allurez says it supports the Kimberley Process and has a ‘zero tolerance policy’ towards blood diamonds3,29, and it will match or beat a lower price for the exact item26.

Allurez says it was founded in 20107, it publishes a New York address and shows pieces in a Manhattan showroom by appointment3,5, and it has been BBB accredited since 201136. Our score is held back by its return terms — you pay for an insured return, and its terms reserve a restocking fee4,5 — by a warranty that excludes resizing and lost stones6, by the missing company name1,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11 and by a 3.5 rating on Trustpilot12.
