NADRI: Trust Check

The bottom line. NADRI is run by Nadri, Inc. of Hackensack, New Jersey³, a brand its own page descriptions in Google date to 1984⁴, on a domain registered in 2013⁵. It sells cubic zirconia jewelry in plated brass and plated sterling silver, plus 14KT gold with diamonds¹, and says plainly that its plated pieces ‘are not classified as fine jewelry’¹. Product pages name the base metal, plating and stones^6,7, its diamond huggie states the carat weight and the diamonds’ color and clarity⁸, checkout runs on Shopify with cards and PayPal^9,10, and products bought on its site are warranted against defects for one year¹⁰. It scores low because refunds are accepted only within 14 days of receipt, with 30 days only for store credit²; every domestic refund loses a $5.95 return processing fee²; the policy doesn’t say the return label is free^2,7,11,12; shipping insurance isn’t mentioned and a lost parcel is your claim with the courier^{2,10,11,12,13,14}; and we found no free cleaning, re-plating or resizing^1,2,10,12. Its Trustpilot page has only 3 reviews, averaging 2.9¹⁵.

Who is behind NADRI

The site’s privacy policy names the company as Nadri, Inc., at 433 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601³; its contact information page gives the trade name NADRI and the email [email protected]²⁴. NADRI calls itself ‘a trusted name in the industry for over 35 years’ that has gone ‘from fashion to now fine jewelry’, and says it owns its factory¹; its own page descriptions in Google say the brand was established in 1984⁴. The site doesn’t name the founder or owners^{1,3,7,10,12,19} — product pages describe the founder only as ‘a visionary, engineer, and creator’⁷ — but GTR Magazine writes that Nadri was founded in 1984 by engineer Young Tae Choi²⁵. The nadri.com domain dates from November 2013⁵.

Besides its own site, NADRI lists Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Dillard’s among its retailers, and its about page describes two more of its brands: ADRIANA ORSINI, sold only at Saks Fifth Avenue, and Eliot Danori, sold only at Macy’s¹. Its FAQ warns about scam websites that claim to be run by the brand: nadri.com is its site for consumers, and nadriwholesale.com is for authorized retailers¹².

How to reach NADRI

Customer service works by email at [email protected]²⁴, through a contact form with topics such as orders, repairs and returns¹⁸, and through a live-chat widget on the site¹⁹. Its contact page says the phone system is being updated and asks you to use email¹⁸; the only number on the site that we found, a toll-free line, is listed in the privacy policy for its compliance officer³. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST¹⁰.

Returns & exchanges

NADRI takes back unworn pieces in their original condition and packaging within 14 days of receipt for a refund, or within 30 days for store credit²; its returns page, FAQ and every product page we checked repeat the same terms^7,11,12. A $5.95 ‘return processing fee’ is deducted from every domestic refund — the store says it helps cover the costs of handling and processing returns — and is waived if you take store credit². Original shipping charges aren’t refunded².

You start a return online through Loop, which gives you a printable return label or a QR code to scan at USPS²; the policy doesn’t say whether the label is free^2,7,11,12, and NADRI accepts no liability for a return sent any other way². Mailed returns are processed in 5–7 business days after they arrive, plus up to 10 days for the money to reach your original payment method². There are no direct exchanges: you return a piece for store credit and place a new order¹². Order cancellation requests must be received before 10:00 am EST, the terms say¹⁰.

Sale items are final sale^10,12 — but which ones, the store’s pages put differently (see the box below).

Shipping & delivery

In the US, shipping by USPS Ground Advantage is free on orders of $75 and up, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, and $5.95 below that¹³; 2nd Day Air costs $14.95, or $10 on orders over $150 within the continental US, and Next Day Air $34.95¹³. Weekday orders typically take 24 hours to process, and tracking is emailed when the order ships¹³. Orders of $500 or more need a signature¹³.

We found no mention of shipping insurance^{2,10,11,12,13,14}. The shipping policy says NADRI ‘is not responsible for carrier delays or lost packages’: if a parcel is lost in transit, you open a claim with the courier yourself¹³. NADRI also ships abroad, for example to Canada, several European countries, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand¹⁸.

Warranty & care

NADRI warrants products bought on its site against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase¹⁰. In that year it will, at its choice, repair the piece at its expense, replace it, or refund all or part of the price — once you’ve sent the piece back¹⁰. Lost or stolen items, general wear and tear and misuse aren’t covered¹⁰. For a repair you contact customer service; NADRI confirms by email within 2 weeks and asks you to allow 5–7 weeks for the repair¹².

We found no free cleaning, re-plating or resizing service^1,2,10,12. Its care advice is to start with a soft, dry cloth, not to soak plated jewelry, which ‘can wear down the plating and expose the base metal’, and to avoid ultrasonic cleaners¹²; trapped moisture can cause tarnishing, especially on brass-based pieces, so it asks you to take jewelry off before showering, swimming, exercising and sleeping¹².

What NADRI sells & what it costs

NADRI’s about page lists its range as plated brass with cubic zirconia, plated sterling silver with cubic zirconia, and 14KT gold with diamonds¹. It says plainly that its plated brass and sterling silver pieces ‘are not classified as fine jewelry’, and that its cubic zirconia styles are ‘often mistaken for real diamonds’¹. Product pages list the materials: the AJOA studs are ‘Metal: Brass’, ‘Plating: 18KT Gold or Rhodium (Silver)’, ‘Stones: Cubic Zirconia’⁶, and the Modern Love Round CZ Ring ($95.00) is sterling silver with the same plating options⁷. Its silver pieces are plated with rhodium and its gold pieces with 18 karat gold⁷, but no plating thickness is given on the product pages we checked^{6,7,12,16,20,21,22,23}, and the Delphine Multi Row CZ Stud Earring page lists only ‘Metal: Brass’, with no plating, though it’s sold in rhodium and gold²³.

Its Fine Jewelry pieces include an 18KT gold Franco chain at $5,699.00 for 22 inches and $5,199.00 for 20 inches, described as ‘Metal: 18KT Gold’ with no alloy named^26,27, and a 14KT gold pavé diamond huggie hoop at $150 for one earring or $295 for a pair¹⁷, set with 0.036 carats of diamonds per earring and 0.072 per pair⁸. The same page grades the diamonds in its fine jewelry twice, and differently: ‘F-H in color and SI2 or better in clarity’ in the description, and ‘F-G in color and VS2 and better in clarity’ further down⁸. Either way, weight and quality are stated; if it matters to you, ask which grade applies.

Stones are named for what they are: NADRI says it uses ‘only the highest-grade cubic zirconia’, polished ‘just like a diamond would be’⁶; the Turn Up the Volume ring uses ‘grey nano crystal’¹⁶; imitation sapphires are sold as ‘faux sapphire’¹⁷; and the Boujee Beads necklace ($650.00) has natural moonstone beads around a cubic zirconia pendant²². Pearls are listed simply as ‘Stones: Pearl’, as on the London cluster earrings in rhodium-plated brass²¹. NADRI says all its products are nickel-free and that many of its earring posts are surgical stainless steel¹².

Prices in its product feed run from $14 for a set of sale studs to $5,699 for a gold chain^6,17,26; rings come in sizes 5 to 9¹⁷. The huggie’s page says all diamonds ‘have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions’⁸; beyond that line we found no sourcing policy — nothing on the Kimberley Process or recycled metals^1,8,10,12,19.

Payment

The store runs on Shopify⁹. Its terms list American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal and JCB¹⁰, and the checkout shows Shop Pay and Afterpay badges¹⁹.

What customers say

Google shows a NADRI listing at its Hackensack address with 5.0 stars from 5 reviews²⁸. Its Trustpilot page has just 3 reviews: Google shows 2.9 stars, and its snippet ‘TrustScore 3 out of 5’ — we use the lower figure¹⁵; we haven’t found a BBB profile and are still checking by hand. Elsewhere the ratings are higher: the reviews on its own site average 4.6 from 4,389 verified reviews²⁹, REVIEWS.io shows 4.62 from 122³⁰, and 94% of 26 reviewers on its Facebook page recommend it³¹.

What buyers write is mostly about the pieces themselves: one REVIEWS.io buyer loves the jewelry but complains about sizing — ‘Necklace’s need to be adjustable or offer extensions’³⁰; a PurseForum member who bought a Nadri bracelet at Nordstrom found the quality ‘pretty good for costume jewelry’³²; and a Reddit user says a pair of Nadri earrings ‘look nice and have held up’³³. We found no recurring complaint pattern.
